Customer Operations

Deployment Lead

Budapest
Work Type: Full Time

Deligo is a leader in visual AI self-checkout for convenience retail and food service. Simply place the products and tap to pay - simple, frictionless and fast. We work with leading food service companies like Compass and retailers like Marks & Spencer.

At Deligo, we make checkout fast and magical leveraging our passion for technology. We use advanced AI computer vision systems to instantly recognize food and retail items, instead of the cumbersome process of scanning barcodes individually or selecting items from a screen. To date, we've saved 57 years of standing in line, and we're just getting started.

We are a tight knit team of hardworking, passionate builders who take pride in our craft and value mutual trust and respect in everything we do. If you're looking to join a rocket ship, this may be a great opportunity for you. 🚀

The Role

We’re looking for a highly organized Deployment Lead to drive end‑to‑end rollouts of Deligo Checkout kiosks across our client locations and channel partner networks. You’ll own the deployment lifecycle from site qualification through go‑live handover, orchestrating hardware logistics, software configuration, AI recognition readiness, and stakeholder communication. Precision, persistence, and proactive follow‑ups are critical. You’ll keep every task, date, and dependency on track.

You’ll work cross‑functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Product and ML engineering teams, Hardware ops, external installers and client facility teams. Your goal: deliver smooth launches that hit timeline, quality, and performance targets (including our recognition speed and accuracy metrics) so locations can start transacting from day one.

What You’ll Do

  • Own deployments end‑to‑end: from location intake & scoping to go‑live sign‑off and operational handover

  • Run structured project plans across multiple concurrent sites; maintain milestones, owners, and dependencies in the PM tool of record

  • Document everything: site access, configs, photos, lessons learned

  • Drive regular follow‑ups (status calls, async updates, nudges) to unblock tasks and keep stakeholders aligned

  • Manage hardware logistics: order, ship, track, and confirm receipt / condition across EU & UK (and beyond as we expand)

  • Oversee software & data prep: inventory / product mapping, pricing config, RS dataset coverage, payment tokenization, software updates.

  • Track performance criteria: transaction flow, recognition rates, TD2TU performance, integrations (POS, payments)

  • Capture & close punch lists post‑install; confirm issue resolution prior to commercial launch

  • Drive internal retrospectives to structure deployment feedback into feature ideas or process improvements for future rollouts

  • Hand off cleanly to Customer Success for steady‑state support and performance monitoring

What You’ll Bring

Must‑haves

  • Excellent written & spoken English; clear, structured communication with technical and non‑technical audiences

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Comfortable using project / task tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com) and spreadsheets

  • 3+ years of client facing experience managing both technical and non-technical stakeholders in B2B contexts. Ideally you have experience with in-person client relationships.

  • Strong project management fundamentals: planning, risk logs, change control, stakeholder updates, documentation discipline

  • Precision mindset and relentless follow‑through - you notice gaps, chase answers, and close loops

  • You’re calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and keep a deployment moving even if things don’t go to plan

  • Willingness to travel ~25% (varies by quarter) to customer locations across Western Europe & the UK

Nice‑to‑haves

  • Experience in convenience retail, food service, or computer vision / IoT devices

  • You coordinated multi‑site deployments, rollouts, or implementations (hardware + SaaS, retail tech, food service systems, or similar)

  • Additional European languages (German, French, Dutch, etc.)

  • Background working with channel partners

Why Join Deligo?

  • Be part of an innovative company revolutionizing checkout experiences, with cutting-edge AI and vision technology at the core.

  • Own real impact from day one. Every successful deployment you lead means thousands of smoother transactions for real users.

  • Work cross-functionally with product, ML, hardware, and customer teams in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment

  • Grow with a company that values initiative, autonomy, and structured thinking

  • Help shape how we scale across Europe and beyond — we’re just getting started
